Abandoned Flower

I found this abandoned painting from 2009 in my storage shed and thought I could save it. The beauty of 300 lb. Arches Watercolor cold press is it allows you to fix most unwanted marks and achieve deep rich colors... yummmy! So I decided this will be my first step-by-step demo here. I wish I had taken photos from the drawing stages, but this will do for now...

you certainly did rescue it! all of the work here looks really great Janet, I see your talent is developing all the time. stay out there on the front lines of experimentation, that's where all the cool stuff happens. sounds like you're very busy with watercolor society duties, also!

Nick, warms my heart... you looking in and taking a peek at my work. Can't thank you enough for keeping an eye on my progress. You are now officially my mentor <3 Thank goodness for talented generous people like you who are not only great at what they do, they can actually teach! lol... Yup, I'm starting to get active with the Art Groups in my area and joining Shows and contests. On the second show I entered, both paintings made it to the finals and one of them sold within a week of the show. That piece is my tribute to you... it's a Koi painting. :) Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
